Martin Short Performs “Bastard in the Sand” Sendoff to Osama Bin Laden on David Letterman to Tune of Elton John’s “Candle in the Wind”
In case you missed it, actor/comedian/third amigo Martin Short was on the David Letterman show a few weeks ago (May 16, 2011). On the show he did a rousing farewell to Osama Bin Laden entitled “Bastard in the Sand” to the tune of Elton John’s “Candle in the Wind.”
Oh yeah, did I mention he was accompanied by five people dressed as Navy SEALs? Funny stuff.
Here are most of the lyrics to the song:

This was hilarious. I'm wondering if Martin Short is now thinking at the back of his mind if there will be an assassination plot to kill him because of this performance. I'd seriously have thoughts if I were him.

Seriously though, we should be a bit cautious with doing things like this because we don't know who we'll piss off. I don't see terrorism ending with the death of Osama. I see it growing because we pissed them off.

Just because our "leadership" is infected doesn't mean the people or the entire country is too. There is still a very large core of real Americans who still value the Constitution and the principles on which this country became the greatest in history. So put a sock in it and remember to call when your country gets in trouble
I always enjoy listening to Marty Short when he appears on Letterman to sing. His performance of this song was epic.This is hilarious and brilliant! I hope there more.

Wow. It's a nice farewell for Osama. LOL. Well, I don't think it matters when millions rejoiced with his passing because of the millions he offended while he's still alive. Actually, how ironic.
