In 1964, Ronald Reagan delivered a speech called “A Time for Choosing” (also known as “The Speech”) in support of Barry Goldwater’s bid for the presidency.  The name of the program was “Rendezvous With Destiny” and the speech Reagan gave ended up being the launching point of Reagan’s career as a national political figure.
